The mission of Tix for Tots is to provide children in need the opportunity to attend community events. In carrying out this mission, Tix for Tots works with a number of local charities that work directly with these low-income children. These charities are the recipients of tickets that are donated through the Tix for Tots network. To ensure success in the fulfillment of the mission, charities must understand and agree to the following expectations and responsibilities:
Tix for Tots shall notify the charity when tickets are available. This notification will be by phone or by email and will occur as soon as possible after tickets are received.
The charity should only accept the donation of the tickets when there is a certainty that children in need within the charity’s network can use the tickets and that the tickets can be distributed to the recipients in a timely manner.
Tix for Tots will deliver the tickets to the specified representative of the charity as soon as possible via US Mail, express courier, or direct delivery.
The charity is responsible for identifying children within the network and arranging for appropriate supervision.
The charity is responsible for delivering tickets to the adults who will escort the children to the event. Tickets should not be delivered directly to the children who will be attending the event.
Tickets should always be appropriated to children in need and their adult supervision. In situations where this audience cannot use the tickets, the charity should contact Tix for Tots to determine how the tickets should be handled.
Tickets should never be used by staff, nor by families or friends of staff, without the consent of Tix for Tots. Tickets should also never, under any circumstances, be sold. Failure to comply with this expectation may lead to suspension or removal from the Tix for Tots Partner Program.
Tix for Tots is not responsible for transportation or supervision at the events.
Recipients of the tickets, preferably the children, are expected to write a letter of thanks to the original ticket donor. These letters can be sent to Tix for Tots and will be forwarded to the original ticket donor.
When the expectations expressed above cannot be met, the charity should contact Tix for Tots to explain the situation. Exceptions will be addressed on a case-by-case basis. |
